Two Factor Authentication (2FA)
2FA Method Set Up
We offer Two Factor Authentication or 2FA as an added feature to help protect your account logins. Please send an email request to support@textel.net to enable this feature for your account. Once enabled, each user will go to their My Profile page and follow the steps below to set this up.
First turn on the 2FA option on the My Profile page
Then a QR code will appear for the user to scan with the mobile device they will use for 2FA when logging in.
Note: The image below is an example, please do not scan.
After scanning the QR code follow the prompts on your mobile device to continue the set up. Then the platform will prompt the user to enter in the code from the Authenticator as the final step.
Managing Your Trusted Devices
Under your 2FA method selection on your profile, you will also see a section for Trusted Devices (2FA). This will display all of the browser/device combinations that we have on record where you have logged in and checked the "Remember this device" on the log in screen. A "Trusted Device" is a combination of your browser and device. For example, if you log into Textel on Chrome on your computer and click "Remember this device", it will remember it for any time you log into the app from your computer and the Chrome browser. If you opt to log in from the same computer on another browser, it is considered another trusted combination.
The device list will allow you to see any trusted devices and give you the ability to edit the name, delete the single device (which will force 2FA upon next login), or the option to "Delete All".
